East Tennessee Roots
Mr. Bell’s family has deep roots in East Tennessee stemming back to one of the original families that settled in Cade’s Cove, a jewel of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
Education
He obtained his degree in Finance from Kennesaw State University and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Duncan School of Law. During law school, Mr. Bell won the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Interviewing, Consulting, and Negotiation. Although he had to maintain a full-time work schedule during law school, his passion led him to become an internationally published legal author in the human rights field. Additionally, he interned with the Honorable Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood, where he assisted with research on numerous high-profile cases at the trial and appellate levels including cases argued before the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Experience
Early in his career, Mr. Bell worked as a financial consultant for an investment firm where he managed multi-million dollar accounts for his clients. During his tenure as an investment consultant, Mr. Bell honed his skills in professional sales and was commissioned to teach an advanced sales training class in the South Eastern Regional Office. Notably, Mr. Bell consistently achieved the highest sales closing ratio of any member of the entire South Eastern Division. The ability to lead through questions, build rapport, and influence the decisions of others are skills that very few attorneys have. These skills and the ability to create emotion with decision makers provide Mr. Bell with a tremendous advantage when representing clients whose fate lies in the hands of a jury of their peers.
In 2006, Mr. Bell became a licensed general contractor and began building high-end residential homes for clients in East Tennessee. He still works with clients in the construction industry as a general contractor and assists clients who need representation in construction law cases, such as filing liens against those who fail to pay for services rendered. However, his primary focus is to help individuals who have been accused of criminal offenses in Tennessee.
Wrongfully Accused
Mr. Bell was wrongly accused of a crime in 2007. His Constitutional Rights were violated and it cost him a considerable amount of time and money to defend himself. Ultimately, that charge was dismissed. However, this spurned a burning desire in him to help others who have been wrongly accused or have been the victim of officers acting outside the parameters that the law allows.
Dedicated Representation
Mr. Bell zealously represents clients in all criminal matters and has successfully represented thousands of clients in criminal cases including DUI, narcotics offenses (drug charges), homicide, gun charges, assault, theft, robbery, burglary, personal injury, as well as other white-collar crimes.

Certified to Your Advantage
Mr. Bell has successfully completed the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E.) Training Course that only a limited number of officers have even had the opportunity to complete. This knowledge provides Mr. Bell with a distinct advantage while cross-examining officers during a DUI trial.

Every Client Deserves the Highest Level of Representation
Additionally, Mr. Bell has owned and operated a construction company and manages his own law practice. His experience as a hands-on business manager has instilled in him the respect for hard work and the value of a dollar. His goal is to provide his clients with the highest level of representation, but to do so at an economic value. While beginning his legal practice primarily representing indigent clients, he remains willing to represent clients who cannot afford the exorbitant fees that many attorneys charge to achieve the same or less results. Mr. Bell believes that every client deserves the highest level of representation and that the inability to pay high fees should not preclude a person from receiving the same advantages enjoyed by the rich. Mr. Bell is the “People’s Lawyer” and he will stop at nothing to fight for you and your life.
